If you are going through a transition in your life or career (perhaps both,) I'm your Huckleberry. Yes, I'm also a Val Kilmer fan. If you're thinking about changing careers, or maybe nothing you've done has ever felt right to you, I will guide you through an assessment plan and together, we will develop a plan customized to your needs to create the work and life you want. I am one of the most highly qualified career counselors in the United States, and I was the first salaried Career Coach at The New York Public Library's Science, Industry, and Business Library (SIBL.)
I'm also trained in EMDR and if you find that you're one of those people who is avoiding going out because you're afraid of fainting or never know when you're going to have another panic attack or need to hide in the bathroom or closet because you just get overwhelmed, I can help you with that. This is also a great treatment for other symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and yes, we can do this online!
You are more capable than you've ever known and I'm here to help you tap into your potential, identify your goals, and take steps toward realizing your goals. Maybe fear is holding you back. Maybe you feel paralyzed by all the possibilities. Our job in our work together is to help get you "unstuck."
I love seeing the way people can transform their lives from challenging to transformative. I'm so impressed with the solutions people like you come up with once you're in a supportive environment and know you're heard.
I have a great sense of humor and I draw from a range of techniques, depending on what you need in the moment. We might use EMDR, we might use guided meditation, or we might just talk through whatever is on your mind. The important thing for me is that you can see yourself moving forward.
My hope for you is that this is an opportunity for healing and development. I don't want clients to be in therapy "forever." I want you to be able to see something different after 6 months. That doesn't mean you need to be out of the office completely by then, if you don't want to be. We can often find other things to work on, but my point is, I want you to be able to move forward with your life.
Anthem, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Cigna, United HealthCare, Optum, Beacon Health Options, Medicaid, Kaiser (Colorado only.) Credit Cards and Venmo Accepted. Out of Network also accepted. Full fee is $140. I also have an intern who can see you for $60/hour.
