About Me and My Practice:

I have been providing therapy in private practice and mental health settings for over 25 years. I'm currently in Los Angeles, taught several courses as an adjunct professor, and is a published author of three books and numerous articles on issues related to relationships, psychology, therapy, and wellness.

My approach to helping:

I have heard my patients referring to these trying times as an endurance test or a marathon. And for many of us, it it. And the number one reason people are seeking therapy at this time is due to anxiety - and in particular, many of us are dealing with uncertainty, fear, worry, and a sense of helplessness.

I provide a particular type of therapy that is designed to help you manage anxiety, in part by breaking it down to its emotional parts and helping you to tolerate and ultimately accept - and even utilize - uncomfortable emotions.

What I enjoy about being a therapist:

I have always enjoyed many aspects of therapy. These days, I derive the greatest amount of satisfaction by finding the silver linings and hidden opportunities that the pandemic is providing. Many of my patients report feeling better, less anxious, more optimistic, and more able to get through the day. My intention would be to help you do the same.

Why you should choose to work with me:

Together, we can find ways to not only help you through the pandemic but to learn and grow from it. There's something about no longer hearing the white noise while focusing on what really matters that can propel you to make the changes that you've been trying to make for a long time. And that's exactly what we'll do.

More information about me & my practice:

I have been in private practice and mental health clinics for over 25 years. I approach the work in a collaborative way, and it would take one session, maybe two, to decide if I'm the right therapist for you. If so, you'll see from day one that I'm going to do my best to help you. But if I'm not the right therapist for you for any reason, I would help you find the help you need.

Billing and insurance:

I will provide you with an insurance form that you can send to your insurance company for reimbursement. I accept primarily Venmo and Zelle, along with checks, cash, and credit cards.
