About Me and My Practice:

The Crosby Counseling Center knows that life can be hectic, stressful and overwhelming. Our goal is to help mediate these realities and help you achieve your fullest potential. You will leave Crosby Counseling Center with the tools and strategies you need to thrive as well as gain a more profound understanding of the emotional underpinnings of your life. We accept you as you are and relish the collaboratively exciting opportunity to actualize each day into an opportunity to be better, healthier and happier. A psychologist, counselor, therapist or life coach are waiting to work with you to instill and foster hope in better days ahead. We are able to bring about positive change through uncompromising support.

My approach to helping:

Our primary goal is to provide you with symptomatic relief and improvement in functioning and well-being. We believe that people have the ability to improve their circumstances, symptoms, feelings, and/or thoughts even when that seems impossible. We will work closely with you while we help to move you to a more positive and functional situation. Generally, our counselors' first step will be to learn all about you and what has brought you to a point in your life where you are seeking help. We will ask you to tell us all about yourself, your life, and your current situation. We then seek patterns and attempt to make connections between your past and your current situation. Through this process we are generally able to develop a comprehensive treatment plan and have a good understanding of what therapeutic modality would work best for you. We will work together from that point forward and establish a strong and mutually trusting therapeutic relationship. The most important part of the experience will be to instill and foster hope and to make sure that you feel supported. You are not alone.

What I enjoy about being a therapist:

In our opinion, being a therapist is the best job that a person can have! We love seeing positive growth and watching the wonderful people that we work with reach their fullest potential! Although every therapist at the Crosby Counseling Center uses a different approach to counseling we feel the same way about helping others, it's not a job, it's a calling. We want you to feel cared for and know that you are important. Most of all we want you to have hope that things will get better because we know they can!

Why you should choose to work with me:

Crosby Counseling Center offers very affordable counseling services that cost approximately 25% to 30% below the average rates of our competitors. We try to make counseling as accessible as possible because we understand the importance of mental health in the human experience. Our rates are about the same as a normal insurance co-pay.
